About LOT

The fleet of Polish Airlines LOT, one of the youngest in Europe, consists of 53 aircraft. Trans-Atlantic flights are serviced by 7 wide-body Boeings 767. European flights are daily serviced by 8 Boeings 737, 14 Embraers 170/175, 11 regional jets Embraer 145 as well as 13 ATR 72 turboprops and 42-500, bearing colours of regional EuroLOT airline.

In recent years, LOT has considerably increased the number of its links, mostly due to its decision made on 2000 on transforming its home airport in Warsaw into a transit airport. In the result of changed flight schedule and adjusted airport procedures, Warsaw became and attractive point not only for local flights but also for transit traffic. In 2000, the number of transit links via Okecie airport increased from less than a thousand to more than three thousand per week!

LOT offers to its passengers flights to many cities in Europe and North America, as well as to ten cities in Poland. In summer 2004, LOT launched flights from Warsaw to Dublin and Venice. Our membership in Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline alliance, gives our passengers an opportunity to travel to more than 700 cities in 128 countries and use lounges in all key airports of the world.

Today, LOT provides services on the highest level, as well as flexible tariffs adjusted to the requirements at various market segments, including cheap online tariffs. Another convenience is LOT flight schedule which reduces waiting time for transit flights at key European airports. Thanks to code-sharing with other airlines, LOT is able to offer to its customers tickets to increased number of cities, including those in the U.S.A, Canada, Portugal and Ireland.

LOT, being a modern airline, uses also most advances technologies, such as online ticket sales. The passengers are also welcome to use 24h booking and sales call centre in Warsaw, which services calls from Poland and Western Europe, and another centre in the New York, which services the U.S.A. and Canada.

Since January 1st, 2003 passengers of LOT may collect and use miles in the Miles & More loyalty programme, the largest project of this kind in Europe. Members of the programme may collect and use miles gathered in the course of flights by Star Alliance airlines and several airlines outside the Alliance, and also while using services of numerous partners outside aviation sector.
